The area centered around Mt. Bandai, Mt. Azuma, and Mt. Adatara is located within Bandai-Asahi National Park, in Fukushima Prefecture. Home to many mountains, lakes and marshes, this area is rich in nature and blessed by expansive, beautiful views. This area has come to be known as one of the best sightseeing areas of Fukushima Prefecture, following the opening of scenic toll roads in 1959.
The Bandai-Azuma-Adatara Tourism Promotion Council strives to discover and share information about the wonders of the region’s natural resources and sightseeing spots, while promoting existing establishments to improve tourism in the area. We also work cooperatively with related organizations to advance tourism policies. In doing so, we aim to increase public awareness of tourist attractions and environmental preservation efforts in Fukushima prefecture.
